Recap of Arizona State beating Colorado 21-3 here. My Devils looked a step off on offense, but solid on defense. They escape their first trip to Boulder with an ugly win. I hope they can get their act together during practice this week, as the next three games will truly test the mettle of this team.
The things about this game that made my stomach hurt?
- 11 penalties by the Devils
- turnovers that shouldn't have happened
- a lack of killer instinct by the offense
The things I liked?
- the defense really stepped up and made plays
- secondary play was incredible. The Buffs only attempted 1 pass over 10 yards
- special teams play on punts was nice-1 block, 2 fumbles
I think ASU might go up a spot or two in the polls, but it wouldn't be a surprise to see them stay where they are.
For the record, I did predict ASU would win by at least 10. See post below!
