this essay by the great Bill Whittle. There are two parts, just follow the link to get the whole piece. The
OODA Loop refers to a strategy devised by a pilot named John Boyd. It stands for Observe, Orient, Decide, Act. You then continue to run through the loop as you learn more information. Whittle has applied lessons learned from Boyd to how our military is succeeding on the ground now, and what we'll have to do to stay successful in the future.
