So we are supposed to switch to CFL light bulbs to save the environment. It's no secret that the mecury in the CFL's poses a health/disposal hazard, which the same people who are making us switch are being slow to address. Here's the part where I get even more confused. The EPA is now suggesting to wrap the spent/broken CFL's in two plastic bags:
Some states have made it illegal to throw CFLs in the garbage, while other states advise residents to seal a burned-out or broken CFL in two plastic bags if they are going to dispose of it in their regular trash.
What are we supposed to do in Colorado, where the Lefties are now trying to outlaw plastic bags?
