Moron..

This booking shot provided by the Denver Police Department shows Denver Nuggets forward Carmelo Anthony on Monday, April 14, 2008, after the basketball player was pulled over while driving his Mercedes Benz erratically on Interstate 25 near downtown Denver. Anthony was stopped by police under suspicion of driving under the influence.

Carmello Anthony got pulled over at 4 a.m. last night/this morning under suspicion of DUI.  Dude, there are about 50 people who work for the Nuggets Organization that would have gotten out of bed, and picked you up.  Or take a cab.  Or use a car service.  Grow up.

Geez.

Customer appreciation, Part Deux..

I just noticed that I have 1838 (well, 1839, counting this one!) posts, and 28,000+ "hits" since I first launched Where Are My Keys?  back in August of 2006.  When WAMK crossed the 15,000 threshold, Management decided to do a special gift for our loyal readers.  We crafted a special WAMK t-shirt, and sent 'em out to our special friends.  The only requirement was that you return a photo of you in your WAMK gear, to get posted on the blog.

As 30,000 hits looms, Management is trying to figure out something else to do for the WAMK Community.

Suggestions?

And no, there won't be a sleepover at WAMK World HQ.  We're still having challenges getting the smell of AmeriDan's socks out of the upstairs guest quarters.

Gas or Charcoal?

I was grilling a tasty flank steak on my Weber gas grill tonight, while my Liberal neighbor was firing up his charcoal grill.  As the fetching Mrs. P and I were enjoying dinner, we were discussing which grill has the smaller carbon footprint.

I felt the gas grill was a smaller footprint, since it heats up so much faster, and once you are done cooking, you turn it off.  Charcoal requires more effort to light-firestarter sticks, newspaper, lighter fluid-and once you are done cooking, continues to burn until it naturally dies out.  Both gas and charcoal require trucks/fuel to ship to your local stores, both require extraction and other steps to make the product ready to use.  Gas does have the advantage of the steel tank, which is reusable, while charcoal comes in a paper bag, which may or may not be recycled.

Charcoal has the arguement that since trees grow by "digesting" carbon dioxide, it is technically carbon-neutral (the CO2 made the tree grow, it gets chopped down, made into charcoal, which then turns to CO2, "feeding" the tree again).  Of course the charcoal ceases to be carbon-neutral once you begin to process and ship it.  Many brands of charcoal also have a binder made of coal, to help it light and heat more quickly.  Trees are also a renewable source, while some say natural gas is limited.

I did some research on the Web, and surprise, surprise-both gas and charcoal got pretty much equal billing for which is more eco-friendly.  So I put it to you, WAMKers-which is better for the environment, gas or charcoal?

Check this out, and see how much of it you have heard in the news outside of Chicago.  I'm guessing not much.  Good thing there is no Liberal bias, eh Piker?

Lost In Space

Our long national nightmare is almost over. The dark cloud of Fascism under the Bush Junta will soon be swept away by the warm winds of "change". Toppling the peaceful regimes of the Taliban and Saddam Barack Hussein have left us with Obama Bin Laden running wild in the caves of  Pakistan coordinating more attacks on American soil.

Because of President George W. Bush, "people" whom had merely wished to kill us, now wish to kill us and dig our corpses out of the rubble and kill us again. It is indeed time for change.

Note to NeoCons: Ixney on what I've written about above and will write below. I did receive the latest action alert from Karl Rove about Dick Chaney declaring the election null and void, and suspending habeas corpus. I'm just playing along so that Piker won't get wise to our evil plans of world domination. Plus, I think Piker would look fabulous in a Gitmo orange jumpsuit!

So, who to choose for all of this change? I'm glad you asked. Here are AmeriDan's thoughts on the Presidential candidates:

Hillary! Clinton: Thankfully, Hillary! was able to end the Bosnian War with a quick and death defying invasion of a country that posed no threat to our national security. She made it home, and all is well over there these days in that part of the world, with no American troops left behind. Not counting the ones who are assigned to NATO, which would be most of them. No quagmire here so let's move along.

Barack HUSSEIN Obama: Racist Warmonger, Elitist Warmonger, and maybe even a Muslim Warmonger. Need I say more?

John McCain: An old school liberal disguised as a conservative. Not a perfect choice, but he still believes in The United States of America as a Country to be proud enough of to defend, as opposed to the other two candidates.

I still can't decide, so I'll go with a tie breaker. It should come as no surprise to you that I am a Space Cadet. A armchair astronaut that some would even consider a chickenhawk astronaut. I've never flown in space, so by liberal standards, I have no moral authority to even comment about NASA. But I don't live by modern day liberal standards, so here is what I found at each candidate's website concerning NASA.

Obama website... "Change, Hope, Audacity, blah, blah, blah, typical white person, kill whitey and the joooose, blah, blah, blah, my white grandmother is racist, etc". If he has anything to say about the space program at his site, I couldn't find it.

Clinton website... "We're all doomed unless we elect Hillary, Hillary is ready from day one to save us all, yada, yada, Hillary stormed the beaches of Bosnia, Let's raise taxes, etc".

McCain website... In less then thirty seconds, I found this:

"John McCain is a strong supporter of NASA and the space program. He is proud to have sponsored legislation authorizing funding consistent with the President's vision for the space program, which includes  a return of astronauts to the Moon in preparation for a manned mission to Mars."

Ladies and gentlemen, we have a winner. I, AmeriDan, now officially endorse John McCain to be the next President of The United States of America. I never thought I'd type those words, but I just did.

Note to NeoCons: Again, I'm just talkin smack, we all know that Darth Chaney has the real agenda.

So now I must bid you all farewell because this is the last of my two part posting privileges here at WAMK. I'll ride off into the sunset now, only to return if and when you need me, or when I can get Madeline's Dad to agree to another easy bet. Whatever.

To Madeline's Dad, thank you for allowing me to post here at your fine blog. You put in a lot of hard work at this site, and I believe I speak for all WAMKers in saying that we appreciate it. BTW, I also thank you for the use of the WAMK Space Shuttle for the trip home.

                                      3.2.1. WE HAVE LIFTOFF!!!

20 Questions for Barack Obama..

John Hawkins asks the questions the MSM won't.  A sampling:

* You've often spoken about what the positive effects of pulling out of Iraq will be, but what do you think the negative consequences of your choice to lose the war in Iraq will be?

* Given your past history of using cocaine, which is extremely addictive, would you be willing to regularly take drug tests during the campaign and when you're in the White House to insure Americans that you're not still using?

* You personally, along with your campaign, have continuously and consistently lied and claimed that John McCain wants to fight a war in Iraq for the next 100 years. However, what he actually said -- and has repeated many times is, "Maybe (we'll be in Iraq for) 100 (years)...We've been in Japan for 60 years, we've been in South Korea for 50 years, that'd be fine with me as long as Americans are not being injured or harmed or wounded or killed." Why have you continued to knowingly lie about this issue and why should voters trust what you say if you're going to deliberately try to mislead them in this fashion?

* Could black voters trust a white candidate to fairly represent their interests even if he attended an anti-black church and was close friends with a prominent white minister who was famously hostile to black Americans?

John Boyd and the "OODA Loop"

If you have a few moments, please take the time and read this essay by the great Bill Whittle.  There are two parts, just follow the link to get the whole piece.  The OODA Loop refers to a strategy devised by a pilot named John Boyd.  It stands for Observe, Orient, Decide, Act.  You then continue to run through the loop as you learn more information.  Whittle has applied lessons learned from Boyd to how our military is succeeding on the ground now, and what we'll have to do to stay successful in the future.
